PADI Rescue Diver Course
| The Rescue diver course (often referred to as the most fun
PADI course – hard to believe as they are all fun) develops diving accident
prevention; emergency management skills whilst ensuring you gain confidence
and self-assurance by learning how to assist other divers. The knowledge development portion of the course develops the principles
and information you need for preventing and handling dive emergencies, with
topics including self rescue, diver stress, diving first aid, emergency
management, equipment problems and rescue and assistance procedures for both
conscious and unconscious divers on the surface and underwater. Knowledge development is achieved by reading the Rescue diver manual,
through lectures viewing the course DVD and completing the Rescue Diver
exam. Three pool sessions give the training and experience that you require
before going for one day to practice what you have learnt by completing the
scenarios in the open water. |
